Valesano's father came to the United States and worked as a miner, saving up money to send for his wife and children. The Italian immigrants tended to settle in the same area, so Valesano gives an in-depth idea of the community, talking about both the children and adults. He also talks about the prejudice the immigrants faced and illegal hunting. Recorded at Wakefield, Michigan. |
