Lerza talks about his parents and why they came over to the United States. Many of the people from their village came over and settled in the Iron Mountain area. He talks about the train trip to the Upper Peninsula from New York. At the age of 18, he began mining and struggled to learn English while working in the mines. Recorded at Iron Mountain, Michigan. |
