Chetto worked in the mines for many years and is therefore able to impart a great deal of information on mining. He also talks about growing up in the area with emphasis on Italian food and what life was like during the Depression. Chetto makes homemade wine and has his own cellar in which to make it. He also talks about the different homemade wines he remembers growing up. Russell Magnaghi conducted the interview. Recorded at Negaunee, Michigan. |
