The daughters, Antoinette Kangas and Caroline Caduto, give an overview of their parents, George and Josephine (Yannone) D’Angelo, lives and their journey to the United States and how they adapted to life in America. They describe why some Italian immigrants came to America and why some returned to Italy, unsatisfied with their lives in the states. Struggles with language barriers and everyday life in Gwinn, MI are also discussed. |
