Abstract/Description: Interview of Joseph Gougeon Jr. (born 1919) regarding his military career. He describes his initial training at age 16 in a Citizens Military Training Camp, his anti-tank training and beach-patrol duty in California, his experience on Omaha Beach and in Saint-Lô in France immediately after D-Day, his daily life marching through France, his experience during the Battle of the Bulge and the Ur (Ruhr?) River, the final actions leading up to the end of the war, and his homecoming.
