Abstract/Description: This binder is a compilation of photographs, maps, documents, and secondary sources about Civilian Conservation Corps camps in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It was compiled by the Bergland-Matchwood Historical Society. The binder originally contained a copy of the article "Roosevelt's Tree Army: Michigan's Civilian Conservation Corps" by Roger L. Rosentreter. It was removed since the article is in copyright, but you can access it here: https://www.michigan.gov/mhc/museums/hln-ccc/ccc-in-michigan. There is some overlap in the content of the two binders in this collection. However, because the same images and documents often have different captions, the duplicates were left in the online versions of the binders so that users could see them in the original order and with the original captions created by the Bergland-Matchwood Historical Society.
