Peter White Public Library

The Peter White Public Library (PWPL), located in Marquette, Michigan, was founded in 1871 by Peter White. PWPL has an extensive local history and genealogy collection, including but not limited to city directories, yearbooks, family histories, local history publications, photographs, plat maps and books, local history name and subject indices, and newspapers on microfilm. Their digital collection includes portions of the Marquette Mining Journal (currently 1868-1885 and 1916-1924) and Cloverland Magazine (1916-1923), a publication intended to promote tourism and development in the Upper Peninsula.
