Mary Pat moved to Marquette, Michigan in 1972 after her husband was killed in an accident. She became involved with the establishment of The Women’s Center shortly after the move. As the center grew, she began conducting outreach and education programs around Marquette and throughout the Upper Peninsula. She aided women in Traverse City, Michigan in their creation of a women’s center. She expresses her concerns over The Women’s Center’s current lack of outreach programs for young women. Recorded at Jane Ryan’s home in Marquette, Michigan. |
