The tape begins in the middle of the interview. Bono talks about his father, who worked on the railroad and sent for his family when he had saved enough money. Bono was 11 at the time of the crossing and is able to impart some of his memories of the trip and landing. He both farmed and mined. Interview conducted by Russell Magnaghi. Interview takes place in both English and Italian. Recorded at Princeton, Michigan. |
